Longtime “Hooked On Fishing” Host to Launch New Internet Fishing Show
TAMPA, Fla. – Nautical types know that a rising tide lifts all boats. That being said, anglers seeking a deeper understanding of their sport will benefit from the strong current of digital communication propelling Capt. Bill Miller into his new multimedia role.
After 16 years of hosting the popular cable television program, “Hooked on Fishing” (Bright House Sports Networks) Miller has partnered with Tampa Digital to produce an exciting new web-based fishing program aimed at entertaining and educating anglers of all skill levels. By integrating his straightforward instructional style with vivid action segments and engaging his audience with interactive elements via texting and social media, Miller will deliver a new brand of fishing program that encourages involvement and enables performance.
Details on show title, format and schedule will be forthcoming. For now, Miller said his multimedia expansion will allow him to build on the momentum he has established through cable television.
“I will always be grateful to Bright House Sports Networks for giving me the stage from which I connected with so many folks who share my passion for fishing,” Miller said. “I’ll also remain appreciative to the vast audience of fellow anglers who tuned in each week and shared the ongoing learning experience of fishing with me. To all those who’ve shared this rewarding journey with me, I’d say the ride is about to get bigger, better and a whole lot more interesting!”
His roots remain firmly planted in Tampa Bay, on Florida’s Gulf Coast, but with a lifetime of angling experience fueling his piscatorial passion, Miller projects his wisdom and insight across the fishing spectrum. Equally engaging to accomplished anglers and novices alike, Miller’s simple objective is to encourage environmental stewardship by fostering appreciation for the natural resources upon which the sport of fishing depends.
“Fishing is an activity that practically everyone can enjoy and the more you understand the basics, the better equipped you will be to advance your performance and develop your own style,” Miller said. “My new venture with Tampa Digital will allow me to share what I’ve learned about this incredibly rewarding sport with not only those who have watched me locally, but also a potentially global audience. Florida is truly the Fishing Capital of the World and I am excited about the opportunity of showcasing the state’s bountiful resources as I teach viewers how to make the most of their time on the water.”
